Vivienne Westwood
Dame Vivienne Westwood is a well known fashion designer since the late 70's and this is what bought her fame. She has won British designer of the year three times and has influenced a lot of younger designers from all over the world by her funny and quirky take on fashion.
I have always been a great fan of Vivienne Westwood and her clothing line, however I chose her as the new Elizabethan because I feel she really relates back to the Elizabethan period with her bright orange hair, her pale complexion with eyebrows which she has lightly drawn on and her red lips.
Not only did I choose Vivienne Westwood for this reason alone but also because of her 17th century collection which she created for the Paris Fashion Week. I loved the way she related it back to the Elizabethan times but still made it contemporary by adding that modern edge to it all. Below are some images which show her historical outfits.
