Final Assessment - In the role of the make-up artist evaluation

This was my final assessment for make-up, I was very nervous because my partner was absent for a few weeks prior to my assessment so I was unable to practice as much as I would have liked but I did come prepared with everything I needed. Bethany wanted me to use a white base and create a heart around the outer side of the face. She also wanted pale eyes with a slight bit of mascara and a big heart shape on the lips which pointed down to the chin. Bethany originally wanted her eyebrows blocked out but because her eyebrows are very dark we decided to change it and she came up with an idea of having red, spiky looking eyebrows. To do this I just simply brushed upwards over the brows with a mascara brush. I feel the shape of the heart around the face could have been slightly darker to make it more defined and I also struggled a bit to create the heart shape around the lips as I had to get it just right without any smudges and I found it a bit fiddly. However I was very happy with the base as I feel I applied it well and blended it in properly.
Although Bethany changed the design last minute she did bring notes and a face chart in for me to follow, it wasn't as clear as I would have liked it to have been but it did help me a lot to follow what she wanted me to create.
Overall I am happy with the outcome although I do feel certain parts could have been improved if I was able to have more practise.
