I am pleased
with everything I have been taught in my first project, I feel I have gained a
great amount of knowledge and progressed very far as my skills have improved a
lot from when I first started. I thoroughly enjoyed making use of the different
techniques we were taught to create a variety of Elizabethan make-up designs. I
also enjoyed researching into the Elizabethan make-up to see the designs they
used to use and how I could use them myself and make them contemporary.
Unfortunately
my partner was absent for a few weeks prior to our assessment so I didn’t have
much of a clue of what I would be designing and I feel there was a lack of
communication on her part because although she was absent I feel she still
could have sent me her ideas via the internet so I could have had some practice
but this was never done. However before my assessment I had some time to
quickly run through Bethany’s design to get an idea of what I would be creating.
I did find that I struggled slightly as Bethany’s notes were quite brief. However
I feel I completed the assessment the best I could and although I didn’t get to
have much practice before due to Bethany’s absence I feel the outcome was very
successful as I managed to complete it as close to her design as possible. Overall
I have thoroughly enjoyed this project and really looking forward to the gothic
horror which is what we will be learning about next term.
